The first steps in marketing your property is to enter into what is generally known as the LISTING OR MANDATE. It commits you to a pre-established marketing fee that is to be paid upon the successful closing of the sale. Service taxes are applied on the retribution. The Mandate is accompanied by a new form designed to identify the seller(s). This form is called Transition Period and is provided for information purposes due to the impact it can have on the obligations of a broker or an agency, or on the rights of their clients. It does not form part of the brokerage contract.
Sign: After the mandate is signed, a sign is placed on your property, the sign of excellence, trust and integrity.
MLS: The listing is processed. I provide my own photos to the Montreal Real Estate Board for use on the www.mls.ca site.
Centris.ca: The listing also appears on the Quebec provincial site where you will find additional information like neighbourhood, distance to transportation, shopping, etc., and a lot of real estate details for consumers’ information.
